From the simple to the extraordinary, Azura Memory Care works to fulfill the dreams and wishes of its residents through its exclusive MOSAIC Dreams Program. It all starts with the question, “What would your best day be?” and for one Azura of Oak Creek resident, Ray, it was to simply spend time with his loved ones and enjoy his favorite meal on his birthday; a long-held tradition for him and his family.
Ray’s 89th birthday wish was fulfilled on Thursday, June 14th at BelAir Cantina in Oak Creek. All of Ray’s family came donning red, white and blue—a special part of the tradition as Ray’s birthday falls on Flag Day—and enjoyed Ray’s favorite meal together: Tacos.
The Dreams Program is part of Azura’s MOSAIC engagement programming, which focuses on learning the personhood of each individual within their care and helping to create moments of joy everyday. Whether it is experiencing a past passion, doing something they have always wanted to do or having a cherished tradition come to life again, Azura Memory Care believes all dreams deserve to be realized.
“It was really touching to see all of the smiles at the table and see Ray and his family enjoying dinner out at a restaurant together,” stated Denise Jurecki, director of community relations for Azura of Oak Creek. “This is truly what our Dreams Program is all about; helping to make moments of joy like these a reality for those within our care and their families.”

"We want to thank you for the loving special care you took of our mother, Diane. It was truly mom's home and you all became part of our family. Everything was home for her....from the beautiful rooms, large sunny windows all around, good food made with love, fun and personal activities from people who really loved our mom. We would highly recommend your facility to anyone. The staff from the director, to the doctor, to the nurse, to the caregivers and the maintenance man were all extremely helpful, caring, loving and professional. There are not enough words to say how much we appreciate all of you. Your exceptional care, kindness, and love were beyond anything we could have imagined. You were part of our family, and we will miss you." - Gail Sommers and Deborah Guse
