Heather Markham, Accountant for Azura Memory Care, recently visited Azura Memory Care of Clinton. While there, a resident, Ruby, approached her. Heather put the scarf she was wearing in Ruby’s hands. Ruby was in awe of the softness of the scarf. She smiled and loved having it in her hands. Heather took her scarf off and put it on Ruby to wear. Ruby smiled and wore it with pride. This was a true demonstration of a MOSAIC Moment. It shows how giving one person some individual time, and really connecting with them, makes them smile and makes a huge difference!
"We want to thank you for the loving special care you took of our mother, Diane. It was truly mom's home and you all became part of our family. Everything was home for her....from the beautiful rooms, large sunny windows all around, good food made with love, fun and personal activities from people who really loved our mom. We would highly recommend your facility to anyone. The staff from the director, to the doctor, to the nurse, to the caregivers and the maintenance man were all extremely helpful, caring, loving and professional. There are not enough words to say how much we appreciate all of you. Your exceptional care, kindness, and love were beyond anything we could have imagined. You were part of our family, and we will miss you." - Gail Sommers and Deborah Guse

I would personally like to thank Heather for the kindness she showed to my sister Ruby. It makes me feel good that there are people who take the time to give their love and compassion to those that are less fortunate.
Thank you again,
Ginny (Ruby’s sister in Colorado)
Ruby Scoviak is my Aunt and I loved reading the article and seeing her picture. She’s a very special lady and it warms my heart to see her being treated with kindness and compassion. I can totally visualize my Aunt being attracted to the pretty scarf and loving the softness of it. She still has her great sense of style!
Thank you for sharing this very touching photo of my mother. She always loved scarves and had a keen sense of fashion. I am very grateful for the wonderful care she receives at Azura. The staff are very kind and caring. It gives her family great comfort in knowing she is well cared for.

I LOVE THE FACT THAT THERE ARE THOSE WHO SHOW LOVE & CARING TO OTHERS EVEN IF IT’S WITH A SIMPLE THING AS A SCARF. I’M HOPING THAT WHEN MY AUNT RUBY TOUCHED & WORE THAT SCARF THAT IT TOOK HER BACK TO A MORE MEMORABLE TIME IN HER LIFE WHEN MEMORIES OF HER PAST WERE OF ONLY THE BEST.
I was so touched and happy for my sister ruby that some one was so caring and with an open and beautiful heart gave her a simple thing that brought out such emotion .not only for her but myself Velda in Colo,
Its good to see people care and take time for others. Life takes us all on different adventures and yet despite how distant I may become from my family they always have and will mean the world to me. Theirs not a day that goes by that I don’t think about my family, I really do wish we were closer in many ways. My grandmother Ruby meant the world to me when I was growing up and still does even though its been a long time since I last spoke with or seen her, same goes for my entire family. Anyone in my family can call me anytime day or night, some of whom I haven’t seen or spoken to in roughly 28 years. Love you all, Robert. (608)728-2378
